President Snow, take a seat. Katniss Everdeen – with her fierce black bow and quiver full of arrows – is finally ready to lead a rebellion. In this new trailer, we see the intensity we’ve been waiting for from Katniss, and a whole new level of anger as she sets out to stop the Capitol’s treachery.
The new trailer, released today, is the first complete one for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, according to ScreenCrush: “There was an earlier trailer for the film (in theaters with Insurgent), [but] it featured no footage from the film and was mostly filled with the Mockingjay logo and voiceover from the previous installments.”

As ScreenCrush notes, the trailer gives us important sneak peeks into the long-awaited finale, but it also points to a potential extension of the series, which is potentially great news for fans who would love to see Katniss Everdeen shoot her first arrows from a handmade bow…or take her archery to the next level.
” Mockingjay — Part 2 might be the end of the Katniss adventures in the Hunger Games universe, don’t expect it to be the end of the franchise. Earlier this year, Lionsgate confirmed they’re developing both prequel and sequel possibilities for future Hunger Games movies. They’re not joking when they say the fire will burn forever.
With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin] and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
We can’t wait to see Katniss on target in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2, which opens in theaters on November 20. Ready to try archery for yourself? Get started here.
